 Musical Theatre New Zealand  MERIT  AWARD

We are delighted to be able to tell you that Mary Boyd has received a New Zealand Musical Theatre Merit Award for services to musical theatre.  Mary has served on the Pilgrim Committee from 1994 to the present day. She is currently the Deputy Chairperson and was made a Life Member of Pilgrim in 2009.  Mary has been Stage Manager for twenty productions by Pilgrim!                                    

Prior to her work with Pilgrim, Mary directed five major productions for Mairangi Players and served on their committee from 1991-1992.  In 2002-03 Mary was a member of The Eminent Victorians, playing at Highwic on several occasions.  Part of Madame de Ruderfurd’s Albion Players.  CONGRATULATIONS  MARY!


The search for five fabulous females has been successful!  The cast of our main production of Scrubbers is as follows:

Rehearsals commence next month with Gwyneth Glover at the helm.  Make a note of the season in your diary now!  12th to 22nd August 2015.




Notice is formally given of the 2015 Annual General Meeting of Pilgrim Productions on Monday 15 June 2015 at 7.30pm at 3 Notley Street, Westmere, Auckland.

At the meeting annual financial statements will be received together with the Chair’s report for the year.  We will also elect the Executive and other members of the committee for the coming year.  All members are invited to attend.

US  and  THEM

As mentioned in our last newsletter, our touring play for the churches this year is called Us and Them by David Campton.  A fine cast has been assembled and is already in rehearsal under the direction of Marie Goudge.  The cast is as follows:

Party B            Spokeswoman – Marion Hines with Albert Tupouvea and Kim-Louise Hockly

This play will tour every Sunday in July.  Bookings are filling up fast.  Anyone wanting this 20 minute play for the sermon slot in a church service, please phone the production assistant, John Bembo.  Ph 021 075 4600.



Subscriptions are now due for the 2015 financial year.  The cost is $15 for single members and $25 for a couple or a family.  Payment of a subscription entitles you to receive five newsletters each year plus a ticket at a concession price for our main production. 

NOTE: The data collected from you as part of your membership will not be sold or made available to another organization.

  • Direct Deposit.  Pilgrim Productions Inc bank account details are: ASB K'Road, Auckland: 12-3060-0224018-00 Ref: Subs and add your surname.  Then email a copy of the bank deposit slip to info@pilgrimproductions.org.nz or post the deposit slip to P O Box 41453, St Lukes, Auckland 1346 to enable our Treasurer to reconcile deposits against the depositor’s name.
  • By Cheque: Download a membership form from our website, www.pilgrimproductions.org.nz  (or send with a covering note) and make out your cheque to Pilgrim Productions Inc and post it to the address above.
