PILGRIM PRODUCTIONS INC is an ecumenical society whose objects are to produce plays, musicals and all forms of artistic expression for the advancement of Christian values.  Its committee is drawn from the mainstream churches in  Auckland   . MAIN PRODUCTIONS  Since 1978 the society has performed major plays or musicals almost every year in central Auckland .  In choosing our material we seek to present theatre that is Entertaining and relevant to the needs of people today.  We look for works which present gospel values, and which speak of new beginnings, wholeness, and hope for the world. PLAYS FOR THE CHURCHES  Another activity we enjoy is taking One Act Plays around churches in the greater Auckland area.  Generally taking “the sermon slot” in worship services, the plays are welcomed as a fresh way to present the gospel.  Relevant, thought provoking topics are aired in lively, and often funny, presentations.  Bruce Weston, ex member of our committee, has written several excellent scripts for this purpose.  The society has an associate membership with RADIUS, the religious drama society in Great Britain and sources material from there as well.
