Should we tolerate all kinds of people or should we have limits to our tolerance.

ANNUAL  GENERAL  MEETING

The 37th Annual General Meeting for Pilgrim Productions was held on Monday 21 July 2014.  We are pleased to announce the following committee members elected as officers. Chairperson – Marion Hines, Deputy Chair – Mary Boyd, Treasurer – Neil Lobb, Secretary – Glenda Matchett.  In the AGM, we have re-evaluated these roles and discussed creating new ones to support the growth and development of our theatre.  A new position of newsletter editor has been taken up by John Bembo.  Thanks John!

Additional committee members elected for the 2014/2015 year are Kathy Lobb, Kerry Thornton, David Hines, John Bembo, Marie Goudge and Rebecca Watson.

Pilgrim Productions has new goals working towards creating more special events and collaborating with other artists and engaging in different forms of creative and performing arts – Dance, Music, Singing, Spoken Word/Poetry and Writing.  If you have got any expressions of interests or ideas, please feel free to contact us on john.l.bembo@gmail.com or check out our facebook page.  We'd love to hear from you!

Copies of the Annual Report and Annual Financial Statements will be available on our website shortly.  Members are invited to phone the Chair for posted copies if required.

Harvey

Rehearsals are well underway for our main production, flyers have been printed, costumes created, and properties are being gathered.  One of the challenges we have faced is that in choosing to do this wonderful play we forgot about how small our stage is for a cast of twelve.  As a consequence the set has been designed and redesigned three times!  However, all is progressing and we are looking forward to bringing you another evening of high quality theatre.

Another challenge is that the play requires two portraits to be painted.  Pilgrim is fortunate in that our Chairperson took painting lessons a couple of years ago and is putting her talents to use for the first time for Pilgrim.

Tickets are available from early August 2014 online via Eventfinda or from our Booking Office, ph Auckland 376 5583 between the hours of 9am to 8pm.

We rely on the publicity of all our members and we encourage you to take advantage of the special ticket price of $18 for bookings of five or more.  This ticket price was very popular last year and so we have repeated the offer again.

Pilgrim website

We are having some difficulty with our website.  We would love to hear from any member who could offer us some help in managing the site.  Please give us a call if you are able to help.
