TWELVE ANGRY MEN is a play of diverse characters; so diverse that the script has been incorporated in lecture notes for psychiatry and psychology students.
The latest production was staged off Broadway by a group of prominent lawyers last year, receiving tremendous success. The play was first written in the late 1950's and subsequently made into a film with noted cast members such as Henry Fonda and Lee J Cobb.
We have attempted to bring the play into the 1970's at the time when the death sentence was abolished in New York State (1977).

Sam Winer DIRECTOR Sam was born in England and came to New Zealand in 1957. He was an actor fur over thirteen years during which time he studied Shakespearean drama at Massy University. He subsequently established himself as one of Auckland's leading directors and has won the covetous NZ Drama Federation award on three occasions. Pilgrim Productions has valued Sam's directorship in "Sentenced to Life", "Mr Wilberforce M.P.", "The Diary of Anne frank" and "Florence".
